How to Measure for Installation
  1. Remove the endcaps and front cover from one baseboard heater.

  2. Measure the distance between the bottom of the finned tube heating element and the top of the baseboard  as shown in Fig 1.1. A measurement of 5-1/2" to 6-3/4" (140 mm - 172 mm) will fit our standard profile.

  3. Measure the distance from the wall (panel that is attached to the wall) to the front of the finned tube heating element as shown in Fig 1.2. Any measurement less than 3" (76 mm) will fit our standard profile.

  4. Measure the distance from the floor to the top of the baseboard as shown in Fig 1.3. A measurement greater than 7-1/2" (191 mm) will fit our standard profile.

The Alternative

Ugly old and out of date baseboard heat covers have long been a problem for those remodelling a home. Here are three common alternatives to consider (we're sure you'll prefer our solution).

  • Just tolerate the dents and rust.
  • Remove the old covers and install the same factory made, new ones. The amount of labor involved in removing your ugly old covers from the wall that they are nailed or screwed to is substantial.
  • Sand, prime and repaint. Another extremely labor-intensive job that often looks unprofessional after the covers have been re-installed.
